Brand Identity & Site Design - Logos, illustrations, patterns, typeface recommendations, branding mood board, branding guidelines, a site that includes both mobile and desktop designs.
Industry & Client
Chelsey K is our bubbly, energetic mom of 3 with a creative and unique eye for wedding filmmaking! This super star is based out of North Alabama, although traveling is definitely on the table. She uses several mediums such as 4k log-form digital, cam corder footage, and super 8 film to stitch together her client's love stories.
Designer Note
Ugh, we love Chelsey! From start to finish, she always provided detailed feedback and was ready to take full advantage of the features WIX offered her to run her business. Although we loved branding her sweet business, we're most proud of helping her strategize her client experience. Her logos got a face lift, and so did her business processes!

About our Client!
With the most infectious laugh, Chelsey K quickly showers anyone she meets with love and support. She's always smiling and ready to combat any problem with ambitious and optimistic solutions! Her personality and mental drive is the perfect recipe to be a wedding filmmaker. She provides a sense of safety and reassurance while also taking on conflict and issues head on with positivity.
With her business, Chelsey is focused on the quality of the films she creates for the clients she genuinely gets to know. We happily stepped in to shape her brand identity and client experience! All the technique focused work were Chelsey's bread and butter while the aesthetic and outward appearance was all on us.
Big Takeaways
Before hiring us for branding, Chelsey had recently announced her rebrand from "Front Row Videography" to "Chelsey K Films". With that announcement came social posts with her new branding that she put together on Canva. When she hired us only a few months later to rebrand, we decided to include her current branding layouts in her primary logos. But like always, we added in some twists.
Directional Drafts!
Directional Draft A
We challenged Chelsey's color inspiration which was like pinks and taupe tones with off whites and gold tones. We went more bold with the fonts to give it almost a production type aesthetic while also keeping her original primary logo layout.

Directional Draft B
This directional included more of her brand inspiration elements. Her inspiration was so straightforward, that we knew that this board was going to be the clear winner... and it was. The note we received from her was that this directional board was EXACTLY what she wanted - no notes!
The fonts included subtle details with elements that connected to each other. We actually flipped the cursive "c" and "k" extensions to shake it up a bit. Her original primary logo was more similar to the primary logo on the first directional board. With her other logos, we decided to just put the "k" in a cursive typeface as dividing, accent element.

You'll notice here in 0.5 seconds that her final branding was her second directional board. The only change made was the circle around one of the submarks. Instead of a double line, she just wanted to keep it simple with one.
Final Brand Identity

Detailed Primary Logo
The detailed primary logo in "Bistre" which is the darkest color.

Secondary Logo
The primary logo in "Oak".

Stacked Logo
The secondary logo in "Olive". She also received a few versions of it in duo colors. The duo versions didn't include the cut outs around the letters.

Submark Logo
Submark in color "Linen". She also received this logo with a 50% opacity oval background along with a version of just a simple oval circle around the submark with establish date.

Now let's talk Site Design!
Although her website is BEAUTIFUL, most of our accomplishment was teaching Chelsey how to blog on her site to help boost her SEO and google engagement along with use the proposal feature to send contracts and accept payments from her clients.
In the past, her clients would have to print out their contracts, fill then out, scan them, and email them back. As for payment, they were expected the Zelle the amounts to Chelsey's bank account. In theory, that sounds wonderful because of no fees. But from the client experience, they must have the stone cold cash at the time of booking to pay their deposit. Opening up an avenue for clients to make online payments open up the opportunity to put payments on a credit card. This may be easier for wedding couples fronting a lot of costs during the planning process (or build those credit card points to help with the honeymoon).
Final Takeaways!
10/10 client with a 10/10 final product. No notes! :-)
